FORGED IN CHAOTIC SPEW DROPS JULY 28, 2023 via TRANSLATION LOSS RECORDS

Phoenix sludge crushers THRA are set to unleash their most demonic full length record to date, “Forged In Chaotic Spew” on July 28, 2023 (digital) and August 25th, 2023 (vinyl) via Translation Loss Records. The knuckle dragging album, laced with death metal and hypnotic, deviant sludge shows the band blinded by bitterness, suffering, and pain throughout it’s nine tracks.

THRA vocalist, Robert Wolfe shares: 

“This record is a compilation of self expression throughout the last ten years of our lives. This is our contribution to heavy music and we put the darkest parts of our hearts into crafting these songs. All these songs come from very different time periods between now and when we were teenagers, so each song has a very different sound, but they still encompass the overall feeling we have come to portray as Thra.”

Formed in 2016, THRA was founded by guitarist/vocalist, Robert Wolfe and bassist/vocalist Zach Nixon-Sandberg, and guitarist Matt Marquette. The threesome joined forces with drummer Grey Smith in 2018. In March of 2019, they released their debut demo, “Garden of Rot” with the help of Camo Pants Records. Since then, the band has released two live session demos. THRA have shared the stage with the likes of Bell Witch, Sanguisugabogg, Blood Incantation, Yob, Inter Arma, Primitive Man, Gwar, EYEHATEGOD, Napalm Death, and many more. 

The band entered the studio in Phoenix, AZ with Josh Medina to record “Forged In Chaotic Spew”. Now signed with Translation Loss Records, the band will release “Forged In Chaotic Spew” on July 28, 2023 (digital) and the vinyl will be released on August 25, 2023. The album features killer new artwork from Philadelphia artist, Fred Grabosky.
